Walking...Almost!

I realized that I have not posted pictures in a while so I got the camera out this afternoon and snapped a few of Mary Lindsey after her nap. She is always in the best mood when she wakes up from her afternoon nap so it is good time to catch her in action.

We are nearing the day when our sweet Mary Lindsey will walk on her own. So far, she has taken one or two steps here and there, but that is about it. You can hold her hand and she will walk beside you for a pretty good length of time now. She also likes to push her baby stroller around the house. She can get going pretty fast with it and then most of the time her feet get the best of her and she falls over. It is also funny to watch her with the stroller because she has not learned go around objects...so we either run over things or knock things over. But it doesn't seem to bother her...she keeps on trucking!
She can stand up on her own without holding on to anything. This has been one of her favorite tricks for about a month now. When she does it(which is a lot!) she looks at you and smiles really big...she is so proud of herself and she wants you to clap or congratulate her. It is so cute!

I also have a picture of the "famous" facial expression she wears A LOT these days. What a little drama queen we have on our hands. But she is just so sweet and loving you can't help but laugh! Enjoy the pictures! Love to all!

And his name is....

I know the million dollar question everyone has been asking is "what are you going to name the baby?

Well, after months of discussion and going back and forth between names, we have finally decided what this little man will be called.

We have actually gone back to a name that Larry has stood beside for years, and always liked if we had a son. It is a name that he really liked when we were pregnant with Mary Lindsey. Though I fought it for a while and tried to come up with names of my own, nothing ever seemed to fit like...Luke.

So, for all of you inquiring minds out there, our son's name is Luke Hadden LeBlanc.

Luke because his daddy absolutely loves the name ( and now so do I). Also, we like the fact that Luke means "worshipful" and we do pray that sweet Luke's life will be an offering of worship to his savior as he grows into a man. And Larry also chose the name Hadden. This is after Charles Hadden Spurgeon, a preacher, author, and amazing man of God that Larry quotes in sermons often. So, yes, bless sweet Luke's heart...not only is he the son of a preacher, but he is also named after one.

Now, that all you family and friends have a name, please continue praying (now by name) for our precious son on the way. Pray that he would remain healthy throughout the rest of my pregnancy and arrive here safely in LESS than 4 months now! Pray that God would bless him all the days of his life! We are so excited to meet this little guy!

Happy Easter!

I thought I would go back in time a little and post of picture of sweet little Bit Bit on her very first Easter last year. Can you believe how tiny she is? She is only 11 days old. She and I got dressed to take Easter pictures when everyone arrived home after worship service...I can remember how absolutely worn out I was, but how incredibly happy to have my sweet baby girl on such a special day. Fast forward an entire year(so hard to believe!) to the pictures below! Our girl is one now, and so packed full of personality! It is hard to think that she is the same, tiny, helpless little baby we held just a year ago. She has grown so much and entertains us with her expressions and outbursts.
My sweet friend Brandy came over on Saturday and brought her new bunny with her. We got some cute pictures of Mary Lindsey with this bunny. Unfortunately, the bunny wanted nothing to do with Mary Lindsey. I think his little nerves were shot when he left our house...he probably stayed hidden in his little box the rest of the day. But I will treasure these pictures forever and remember how hilarious Mary Lindsey was chasing this bunny around the yard. Enjoy!
I love this picture because while Mary Lindsey is being distracted by the flower, the bunny is making a run for it!

There is that smile that I love! She loves to clap!

I like her feet in this picture. She was trying to eat her toe for a while...

Yeah!!!!! How happy sweet Bit Bit is in this picture!

Happy First Birthday Mary Lindsey!

Well, it is so hard to believe that our little Bit Bit celebrated her first birthday today! We are so thankful for the beautiful, funny, smart and lovable little girl that she is! God could not have given us a better daughter and we thank Him today for entrusting us with her precious little life. We have absolutely LOVED watching her grow this past year, and are so excited to get to know her better in the years to come. Everyday gets better and everyday we love her more. I will go back and narrate the pictures tomorrow when this mommy is not so tired...but for now enjoy the pictures from her birthday dinner with special family this evening. We had so much fun just watching her. We love you so much Bit Bit! Happy First Birthday!

Weekend Recap

Larry and I got out in the yard on Saturday to work on flower beds. When Bit Bit woke up from her nap we put her in her favorite red wagon that her Gigi and Pops got her for Christmas. I placed some of her favorite toys in the wagon, along with several that she chose before we went outside. If you will notice in the picture above, her toys of choice most of the day were her pink rubber ducky that she plays with in the bathtub and her winnie the pooh that her Nana gave her. We laughed because they were very random items, but she held on to them both for the longest time...especially pooh. They had very long conversations the entire time we were outside.
Here she is learning about animals. She still calls everything 'dogs', but we are working on this daily. Notice Lucy behind her. She loved being in the wagon because she could pet her dogs anytime she wanted and they would come up and lick her face. What a fun day for Bit Bit!

These were just some other cute pictures I took over the weekend. I thought it was cute because it really captures her personality right now...wide open! She is talking and waving and doing her thing...you better get out of her way!

Our precious Mary Lindsey who I can not believe turns one on Thursday! Wow...this year has flown by. She is the light of our lives and we have loved every minute with her this year! Check out the blog later in the week for a special Birthday blog...full of pictures I promise!

We are having a.....

BOY!!!!

We are so excited to announce that we have a healthy baby BOY on the way! We went to have our ultra sound this morning and everything looks wonderful! Mary Lindsey went with Larry and me to the appointment and she did such a wonderful job. She would point at the monitor and talk in her own little language. We tried to explain to her that was her little brother, but heaven knows she has no idea how her little world is about to change in 5 months! It might take her a while, but she has such a sweet little heart, I know she will absolutely LOVE her little brother!

We are so thankful to God for the blessing of a healthy baby girl and NOW the gift of a healthy baby BOY on the way. We continue to pray for God's hand of protection on us both. What a miracle! May we begin preparing now to raise this little boy to be a man who follows close after his Savior!

Bring on the Blue!!!

Snack Attack!

Since I am trying to get back on board the "Blogger Mommy Train", I thought I would share with you some funny pictures from this afternoon. This is a typical afternoon with a nearly one year old. Mary Lindsey is constantly exploring our house and discovering new ways to destroy things. I won't lie and tell you that our snack drawer was ever neat...because it was not.
She LOVES to tear paper...and then eat it! One of her nicknames around the house is 'goat'...there is no telling how much paper she has eaten without us knowing it. It doesn't seem to slow her down much.

Still exploring...

A whole pack of 'nabs' as Larry calls them. Who else calls peanut butter crackers 'nabs'? I never heard of this until I moved to Mississippi.

Oh...we want to give a shout out to Gigi and Pops and Holli who are enjoying a nice snow day in South Carolina! We wish we were there with you to build a snowman! Love you tons!
