The Queen with "The King"

I always say that I learn something new about Bit Bit everyday. Well, today was no different. Apparently Mary Lindsey is an Elvis fan! Tonight we went to a party and "Elvis" was the entertainment. Mary Lindsey was absolutely enthralled by him! She loved his singing and dancing, but mostly she liked all the jewels that sparkeled on his outfit. We had a lot of fun and were lucky enough to go backstage for a photo op after the "concert"! How much fun!

Kindermusik

Tuesday morning we took part in our first Kindermusik Class at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. I knew that Mary Lindsey would like the class...but, I had no idea how much! Let's just say she absolutely LOVED it! Although she was the youngest in her class, she smiled and laughed and cooed and yes...spit up, more than any other baby there! The Kindermusik program focuses on using music and song as a tool to interact and connect with your baby. Music is also a wonderful tool to promote brain development and skills she will need throughout her life. She and I got to dance and play with eachother as well as other mom's and babies. She could not get enough! In fact, when class time was over and Ms. Janice turned off the music, she immediately started crying as if to say, "no, I don't want Kindermusik to be over!" We had a wonderful morning and met some very sweet mom's and babies. Here are a few pictures to give you a small idea of what the class looks like. Love to all!

Sleeping Beauty

Well, today was a pretty laid back day around the LeBlanc house. It rained most of the day and was pretty yucky outside, so Mary Lindsey and I had a day inside. I got a lot of house work done and as you can see from the picture, Mary Lindsey slept a lot today. In fact, she took a 3 hour nap this afternoon, which is quite rare for her. But apparently her little body needed a day to relax.

But I promise to make up for our laziness tomorrow with some pictures from our fun day in Hattiesburg. We are taking our first Kindermusik class tomorrow morning. It should be lots of fun!

Love yall!

Weekend Update

Sorry I have not blogged in several days. Things were busy this weekend and just haven't had time in the evenings. We had a great weekend! I have posted several pictures from Saturday. I had the chance Saturday to spend the afternoon with good friends in Hattiesburg doing some shopping, eating, and seeing Mama Mia. It was so much fun and a much needed small break from mommy duties for the afternoon.

Mary Lindsey spent the afternoon with her Nana and BoBo...so needless to say she was spoiled rotten! Fun was had by all. She got her feet wet in the pool, got to play with Charlie ( the cute Yorkie Poo shown in the picture with my friend Melissa), read to by Nana, walked in her stroller, taken on plane rides with BoBo (shown in picture), and hugged and kissed on more times than we could count. Thanks you two for keeping her and allowing me some time with my friends. You are the best!

Road Trip!

Tonight we decided to drive to Hammond to eat sushi. I am SO excited that Larry will actually eat sushi with me now. He used to make fun of me...but I have managed to convince him over time it is pretty good stuff! So we loaded Mary Lindsey up and headed out! Here are a few pictures from our outing. She is so much fun to take places because she really does a great job and loves busy environments. So much like her mom! After dinner I talked Larry into going on walk around downtown. At first the weather seemed so nice, but by the end of the walk we were all sweating and ready to get in the car. Not such a bright idea I had. Larry was pouring sweat! But he loves me and he knows I am over the top right now for constantly creating sweet family moments together with Mary Lindsey. He must really love me because he didn't even complain! Mary Lindsey's doll even looked hot! Well, that's all for tonight. Love!

More Pictures!

Here are some fun pictures I just took of Bit Bit. She is in a wonderful mood and shows no indication of wanting to bed down any time soon. So we are up playing! Love yall!

Sleeping Behind the Wheel!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to the walking track earlier this evening. Bit Bit is riding in her brand new stroller we got this week. From all indications, we think she likes it just fine...she looks quite relaxed don't you think? Larry and I discovered very earlier that if you want Mary Lindsey to go to sleep, your chances of that greatly increase if you put her in the stroller! We are attempting to make family trips to the walking track at the hospital at least 3 evenings a week. Mary Lindsey really likes it, and it gives Larry and I a chance to talk and catch up. And hopefully we will lose some weight in the process!

I tried to attach the video clip from last night to the blog, but my computer does not want to read the dvd. ML didn't have a big nap today, so I never had the time to sit and play with it. But I promise to figure this out and in the future post video clips. I know you will enjoy those even more than the pictures.

Love you all!

Laugh out Loud!

This week we are hearing some of Mary Lindsey's first real laughs. You have to work hard to make her laugh. She smiles constantly and makes lots of loud noises...but, a laugh is more difficult to get from her. Larry has been the only one to do it so far. Tonight after church I took some still pictures and also some dvd footage of her laughing and smiling with her daddy. I will post the video footage tomorrow when I have more time...tonight I am posting a picture of one of her beautiful smiles!

The next picture was taken this morning while she was in her saucer watching one of her "Baby Faith" dvds. She loves these dvds. They have lots of fun music and the objects on the screen she loves. Best of all they all tell about Gods love. Today she watched one that focused on Genesis and God's wonderful creation story! The truth that God Loves Her is spoken over and over and over. How cool!

Good night everybody!

Rub a Dub Dub, Bit Bit in the Tub!

Here are some pictures from bath time tonight. We are trying to figure out the best way to bathe Mary Lindsey now. She has gotten too big for the bath tub we have been using on our kitchen counter. And when I bathe her in the sink she really loves to play in the water with her toys, but she makes such a mess. So, I figured we were ready for the bath tub! Of course, Larry was happy about that since we spent a several thousand dollars to have a bath tub built especially for Mary Lindsey when I was expecting. (Thank you Larry!)

Nana Paulette found us a seat that suctions to the bath tub floor for us to sit her in and she really likes it. (Thanks Nana!) She played with her duckies and really likes the water. I am sure I will spend much time on the bathroom floor during bathtime! She does fine until the time comes to take her out of the bath and dry her off and put more clothes on. Then she cries...very loud!Larry really likes bath time with her too, although, his back is killing him right now. Oh, well, it's worth it! Enjoy the pictures and we love you!

A Day in the Life

Here are a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure tonight. Mary Lindsey and I had a day around the house today. One thing I can say for sure about her is that she keeps me entertained all day now. She began the day by eating her toes this morning. This is one of her newest tricks. Larry and I laughed so hard at her this morning because she will just lay there and scream. She is not crying, she just likes to hear her voice and it is so loud! I can put her in her "saucer" and she will stand in that thing and talk to her self and play for at least 30 minutes now and be completely content with no one in the room...which is a good thing because I can actually get something done around the house.

We ended the day by going to the fall kick-off at the Baptist Student Union at Southwest with Larry. All the kids loved Mary Lindsey and she loved them. The theme was "Fifties Diner" so a lot of the kids were dressed up and there was music playing so Mary Lindsey was in heaven. She loves being in a crowd where everyone is making a fuss over her. I have posted a picture of ML with Drew Richardson, who is the son of our Associate Pastor at FBC Summit. He is dressed up in a horrible blue suit and glasses. She loved him. Notice in the pictures taken at the BSU she is not looking at the camera because there is so much going on in other parts of the room!

Tonight I got on the floor and read to Mary Lindsey and she absolutely loves it! She kicks her legs and tries to touch the pages. We have really come to love reading time with her. She gets so loud!

That is about it for today!

Bit Bit in the Word!

I thought this was the cutest picture from today! This weekend Larry has been preaching a revival in Wesson, MS. Mary Lindsey and I decided to join him today. This morning when Larry got Mary Lindsey out of bed, she sat with him while he studied his sermon at the kitchen table. Larry has talked to Mary Lindsey from day one about the bible and all the many bible stories. She seems to really like it. Mostly, she thinks Larry is so much fun right now!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. We love you!

Peaches Anyone?

Here are some pictures of Mary Lindsey eating her peaches earlier this evening. These pictures really don't do this event justice. Because she is not quite strong enough to sit up in a high chair, I am still puting her in the vibrating seat to eat dinner. But don't let her fool you, she is strong and moves a ton! She liked her peaches so much tonight that she would take a bite and then kick her legs and make grunting noises as if to say, "more, more mommy!" It was too cute! As you can see, eventually she decided she could do a better job of feeding herself and took the spoon out of my hand. I know what my parents are thinking right now. "Yes, Lord, Mary Lindsey is acting like her mother did. Ms. Independent!" We shall see! Of course, by the end of dinner, she decided that her fingers were better than anything! So enjoy these pictures! Love to all of you!

We are Entering the World of Blogging!

Hey Everyone!

I have recently been informed by MANY people that I am way behind the times as far as my use of technology to keep in touch with friends and family. This was not a problem or concern to any of you until the birth of Mary Lindsey and now I know you would all love to have a way to see recent pictures and stay updated on the happenings of her daily and weekly life. I thought this would be the easiest way to do that. So...here we go!
Mary Lindsey turned 5 months this week. My,my, the time is flying by! Larry and I are amazed daily at all the ways she is changing and becoming her own little lady. She had a doctor's appointment and she weighs 15 lbs. 12 oz. and is 26 in. long. That puts her in the 75th percentile for weight and 95th for height. So she is a growing, healthy baby girl praise the Lord! We have been trying to introduce her to rice cereal with fruit in the evenings for the past several weeks. In the beginning she was not interested at all, but last night she finally ate the entire little bowl I had made for her. And tonight, she absolutely loved her peaches. Peaches and apple sauce seem to be her favorites. I just have to remember to not hold the bowl close to her feet because she kicked the bowl of peaches all over me...which she thought was so funny! I took some really cute pictures I will post. Needless to say, we went straight to the tub when we were finished!
In case you are wondering, Bit Bit is the nickname Larry came up with for Mary Lindsey the night the she was born. Where it came from, who knows. Larry is the king of nicknames. I guess it was because she was so tiny, he just called her Bit Bit. So I thought that Tid Bits from Bit Bit would be a fun name for our family's blog since it will focus on Mary Lindsey, our sweet and precious Bit Bit. She is our most precious gift from God and we praise Him and humbly thank Him for allowing us to be her parents. And we are so glad she has all of you to love and help us in her raising her! So love to all and enjoy!
