Mommy's Little Helper

Okay, so I am still falling down on my Blogger Mommy duties. Sorry that the posts have been few and far between over these past months. I really have not taken many pictures of Mary Lindsey so in the evenings I have nothing to put on the blog. But today, I caught her in action, so I thought I would share some of what is going on in our home these days.

With news of our new family addition arriving in August, I have been on a campaign to clean the "junk" out of my house. I need more storage room and closet space, so I have been doing little bits here and there to make the process a little less stressful. When I am doing clothes I will let Mary Lindsey help me because she loves taking the clothes out of baskets or bags and basically throwing them. Well, this morning I tackled a bunch of baby clothes that Mary Lindsey wore, and some she never did, that have been just sitting in my closet. I went through and picked out the ones that I wanted to use if the next baby was a girl and bagged up the rest to give to our local pregnancy center. After completing the process I placed everything neatly in the hallway for Larry to put in the storage room when he got home.

I then went to prepare Mary Lindsey's lunch. I was talking on the phone and cooking when I looked up and saw what you now see in these photos. I couldn't even get mad at her because she was so proud of herself and just having so much fun. So I got out my camera and laughed with her. She is just a mess these days, and so much fun!

Her favorite word is "dogs". She never uses the word in its singular form, only plural. And the way she says it is hilarious. Larry went in to get her out of bed this morning. He said her eyes were still sleepy and she seemed half asleep. But, she put her head on his shoulder and immediately said "dogs". How cute! She really is so thankful for her dogs Lucy and Bear.

Her other favorite thing is turning in circles while she sits on the floor. She will do this and clap her hands for the longest time. She is beginning to pull up on tables and chairs occasionally but has shown no real signs of walking in the near future. But she can crawl FAST! She is still a happy baby and melts your heart with her laugh. Oh, she started squealing last week. She will either be in the car or playing on the floor and just start squealing VERY LOUD for no apparent reason and then laugh about it. We hope she grows out of this soon. However, we think she is definitely going to talk our ears off. She is constantly talking now, even though we really can't understand a thing she says other than da-da, ma-ma, dogs, and bye. Enjoy the pictures, and hopefully more will follow soon!

(Notice in the last picture posted, Mary Lindsey now has her top two middle teeth! She looks so cute with them. We worked hard for those two teeth week before last. We had several nights with little sleep and stuffy nose and just plain fussy! But we made it through and now have two teeth to show for it! Our little girl is growing up so fast!)

Meet Bear LeBlanc

Our first family picture together. We are at the Newcomb's home picking up Bear! Look at how big his feet are!
What a precious little face.

Here is Mary Lindsey playing this evening. I was trying my hardest to get some cute pictures of her and Bear together. Neither one of them were having it. She would rather read her book!

Ok...as if life at the LeBlanc house was not about to get crazy enough, we decided to go completely insane and get a puppy. Not just any puppy mind you, we decided to get a BIG puppy. In fact, I have never in my life seen or heard of a 5 1/2 week old puppy being as big as our new puppy is. His name is Bear (I think quite fitting!) and he is a German Shepherd. He already weighs 12 pounds! Can you believe that! I will say that he is a very good tempered dog. Right now he really just sleeps and eats. He has done all of his business outside today which I have been very pleased about. We got him a small crate to sleep in, and believe it or not he really likes his crate. He has already taken 2 naps in his crate and even when he wakes up it takes him a while to cry to get let out. Now, you also have to take into account that there is a very active 10 month old crawling around and making lots of noise. I think it is safe to say Mary Lindsey makes him nervous at this point. I don't blame him! But, to all you bloggers out there, send up some prayers for us as we begin down this puppy road. I can promise you I will have some funny stories to tell over the coming weeks and months. Seriously, I think we have officially lost our minds!

Announcing....LeBlanc Baby #2 Due in August!

I know, I know....you are SHOCKED! Well, imagine the utter shock Larry and I felt when we found out! God has a way of surprising at times with the plans he has for your life. And apparently he has planned that we have 2 children under the age of 2 and in diapers in 2009!

I think Larry and I both walked around overwhelmed and in shock for the first few weeks. We actually found out the good news the day before Thanksgiving. We just kept it to ourselves until Christmas when we told our families. We really wanted Mary Lindsey's first Christmas to be all about her. And it was! So now we are sharing our good news. The projected due date for this baby is August 3rd. (Larry's 30th Birthday is August 5th! So maybe it will be born on Daddy's Birthday!)

Praise God, today we went to the doctor and everything looks wonderful as far as the development of Baby LeBlanc. I am ten weeks and one day today. We had a sonogram done and Larry and I were amazed at how clear you could see all of the baby's body parts. You could clearly see the head and the abdomen, the legs and arms. You could see the baby move its hands to and from its mouth. It was amazing! We were not expecting to see so much so soon. I looked back at Mary Lindsey's baby book this afternoon and I realized that we did not have a sonogram with her at this point. We had one at 6 weeks and then it jumped to 20 weeks when we found out she was a girl! So thankfully, it appears that we have another perfectly healthy baby on the way. The heartbeat was strong and fast...much like Mary Lindsey at this point. Could that mean a girl? Who knows! My symptoms are totally different with this baby. MUCH LESS sickness...praise the Lord! So maybe it is a boy! Who knows!

Well, that is our good news. I will keep everyone updated over the coming months. Now, I have to go chase down my child. Love to all!

Mary Lindsey's First Christmas

Hello everyone! I apologize that I have taken a leave of absence from the blogging world. The past month has been a whirl wind of activity and just life in general. Of course, it was Bit Bit's First Christmas and it was absolutely amazing. I am more convinced everyday that she is the most wonderful baby God ever created. She enjoyed every aspect of Christmas. The bright lights and wrapped packages...the music...the TOYS...but most of all the people that loved on her and made her the center of attention! She laughed and smiled and seemed to really enjoy herself, which makes everyone around her smile! I can't believe that she is almost 10 months old. She is crawling EVERYWHERE! She can climb under things and on top of things. It amazes me the small spaces she can fit into. She likes to hide sometimes...which can be interesting. Thanks to all of her grandparents and other family members, you can not walk in our den right now. The entire rug belongs to Mary Lindsey. We have pushed the coffee table to the side of the room and it is now filled to the brim with toys. We have a blast! I attempt to straighten the mess every evening after she is in bed, but I really don't know why. She LOVES to take every object in her toy basket out of the basket first thing in the morning. We still haven't learned how to put the toys BACK IN the basket...we are learning though. She thinks it is funny when I put something back in the basket. She laughs at me and then takes it back out. But, she is so cute, I just laugh at her and say okay. I have tried to attach some of the highlight pictures from Christmas to this blog. I have more, but to be honest I can not find my camera. I just realized it was missing a few days ago. So once those pictures are located you will see more pictures from my mom's side of the family too! Love to all and Happy New Year!
This is Mary Lindsey on Christmas Day at Larry's parents house. This is the little SuperStar Mirror that plays music and lights up. It even came with a microphone and a little piano on the front. This was a big hit!

Here is Mary Lindsey seeing what Santa brought her on Christmas morning. Larry and I learned a valuable lesson this year. Santa CANNOT and WILL NOT ever be able to compete with Gigi and Pops and Nana and Bobo. It just can't be done! I actually stole a present from Gigi and Pops to put with all of Santa's stuff because Santa was looking pretty cheap! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Here is the little Pony that Santa (Pops and Gigi) left! She likes the pony but still is not sure about riding it. But she does like to pull up on the pony and stand there and pet it. It is really cute!

Here is Mary Lindsey with her Bobo. She had this hat made especially for him. It says "Mary LIndsey's Fishing Buddy"!

Here my family is on Christmas Eve at our church in Summit after the Christmas Eve service. Mary Lindsey did fairly well during the quiet service. She only screamed one time when she thought Gigi was taking her Puffs away from her.

This the red wagon that Gigi and Pops gave Bit Bit. She LOVES it! We ride in it up and down the road. And when we are inside, she likes to just sit in it with her toys and play.

Here we are at lunch oneday with Brown and Holli. They had so much fun playing with Bit Bit. They absolutely spoiled her rotten the entire time they were here!

This picture is hilarious to me! Uncle Randy and Aunt Michele and Blake and Haley gave Mary Lindsey an American Girl Bitty Baby for Christmas. When Mary Lindsey opened the present she could see the baby doll through the box...however, as some of you may know, it is NOT easy to get toys out of boxes. So Mary Lindsey screamed as we tried to untie the doll and take her out of the box. We were not nearly fast enough. She LOVES the doll and carries her around every day. I am so proud my little girl likes to play with dolls...I know soon enough she will want to be out in the woods and on the lake with her Daddy!

And here she is with Aunt Dianne! Dianne tried to compete with Randy and Michele when it came to Bit Bits first Christmas gift. Sadly...she lost. She gave a book called "Ten Redneck Babies". Very fitting for a baby born in South Mississippi. But it paled in comparison to Bitty Baby. Oh well Dianne... there is always next year...and the FIRST BIRTHDAY!

One of the cutes pictures taken I think. It pretty much sums it up...MERRY CHRISTMAS!
