Luke's Room
I thought I would post of pictures of Luke's room. Many of you have been asking to see what it looks like and I have been meaning to post these for days. You can see that this is no nursery...this is a man's room as Larry refers to it. Larry wanted to make sure that Luke came into this world surrounded by some of life's most important things...fishing and hunting. I know he and his Daddy will have many adventures and make many memories in the years to come outdoors...and Mary Lindsey will be right there with them!
A quick update about where we are as far as Luke's arrival time. I went to the doctor this morning and I am dialated around 2 centimeters, my cervix is thinned and Luke is positioned very low. So basically he could come any time now. I am 37 1/2 weeks now and our goal is for me to at least make it through Sunday so I reach my 38th week. Dr. Remley told me this morning that if I do not have him by next Wednesday that he will induce labor Wednesday morning...so at the most we have 1 week to prepare for his birthday! Everything looks great as far as his development and we are thankful to God that He has brought us this far safely and pray for a healthy delivery and baby! So please keep us in all your prayers in the coming days!
God is good and we certainly thank Him for the amazing blessing of our children! Stay tuned for birthday updates!

July Update...Long Overdue!

The last time I blogged, our sweet Bit Bit was very close to walking. Well...she took off not long after the blog was written and I don't think has stopped since. I tell people that she is either asleep or moving 90 miles an hour. She talks (in her own language) constantly and is always busy with one of her many projects. She goes from room to room moving toys from place to place...and even though you might not understand exactly why she is doing what she is doing, she always seems to have a purpose and a plan. And she does not appreciate when you interrupt her plans! She officially began walking at 14 months. I prayed and prayed she would walk, thinking that it would make my life easier. Well, all you verteran parents out there were right...it doesn't exactly make things easier. Probably a little more difficult in the whole scheme of things...but this really is such a fun age. She is discovering new things constantly and never fails to make Larry and I laugh. We are so proud of her and thankful that she continues to grow into a healthy and bright 15 month old!
She can repeat almost any word you say to her. Her favorite word seems to be "no". You can ask her almost any question and the answer is always "no". Her favorite songs are "Itsy Bitsy Spider (which she can do the motions), Twinkle Twinkle, Patty Cake, and Ring Around the Rosey. These will keep you busy for a long time...in fact, don't start anything with her you aren't willing to finish...and it could take a while! She is still famous for her "look" but can be talked into blowing almost anyone a kiss. She thinks this is very funny!
Her favorite room in the house is now baby Luke's room. She goes through all his toys and drawers. She has no idea that a little boy really is going to live here in just a few weeks. But we always ask her about her baby and if she will take care of him. Of course, she says "no". But she is very loving with her baby dolls so I pray this is some indication that she will be loving with her brother when he arrives.
I am now 36 weeks pregnant. I really feel like Luke with arrive in a few weeks. I am carrying him very low and it is not helping anything that I am chasing a 15 month old all day long. So we are in the last stages of pregnancy and so excited to welcome our little boy. His room is almost complete...just waiting on his bedding to arrive. Of course, Larry wanted a fishing themed room. So we have a mounted fish and fishing rods on his walls. It really does look like a littly boys room...I pray Luke is a fisherman like his Daddy. It will break Larry's heart if he doesn't like to fish!
I am posting my most recent pictures of Mary Lindsey. She is growing and of course more beautiful than ever! Love to all!
