Dr. Larry W. LeBlanc II

This post is especially for the best husband a girl could ask for! My heart is SO very proud of my sweet husband tonight. Today at 3:00 eastern time, Larry successfully defended his doctoral project and is now Dr. Larry W. LeBlanc II! After so many years of hard work and dedication, God has blessed him with this most amazing accomplishment. Driving home from Hattiesburg this evening, the kids were both asleep in the backseat and I had some time to just think on the magnitude of today and what it represents. The bottom line is GOD IS SO FAITHFUL! Larry and I have talked on many occasions about how from a young age he could feel God tugging on his heart to be in the ministry. How as a young teenager he felt drawn to the pastorate, but how it terrified him. I thought about how as a 21 year old he finally put aside his own desires and ambitions to surrender his life fully to the call of Christ. And I weep when I think about the many lives and souls God has used Larry to bring to Himself over these last 10 years. It is overwhelming! Somehow along this incredible journey, God saw fit that I be the woman to be Larry's wife and get to share in all that has taken place and all that is in store. There are moments like this one right now that I still have no idea how I ended up here but for the grace of God but I promise every inch of me is so grateful and will always be grateful that I am that girl.
I am so thankful to God for giving Larry the ability and opportunity to continue his education. Larry has worked so hard on his doctoral work while pastoring a growing church, preparing sermons each week, teaching at the college, and being a wonderful husband and Daddy. He does all this week in and week out and never complains and always seems to have enough time for everyone. He is a rare and wonderful man who I am head over heals in love with!
Sweetheart, I am so proud of you and the man that you have become. I wait with great anticipation at what the future holds for our ministry and our family. I know God will be so faithful to complete this amazing work he has begun in our lives!
